The Canberra & Queanbeyan ADD
Support Group (ADDACT) is a member of SHOUT Inc (Self
Help Organisations United Together). SHOUT was established in 1981,
during the International Year of the Disabled. SHOUT Inc brings together
Self-help groups who are made up of people who share the same predicament,
concern or life experience.
ADDACT meetings are
held at the Pearce
Centre, SHOUT Large Meeting Room, Bldg 1, Collett Place,
Pearce. Meetings
are usually held first Sunday of every Month, 2pm - 5pm, (unless otherwise specified)
Snail mail: PO Box 717, MAWSON ACT 2607
Both the Adult and General
meeting are held together. We find that to understand the children, it is very
important to listen to the Adults with ADHD, because they have been through it before.
We try to get a guest speaker at each meeting; otherwise we will have a “Chit
Chat” session.
For a gold coin donation,
professional child care and activities for children is available to all financial members for any of the
above meetings/seminars. Ring SHOUT on 6290 1984 business hours or
6287 4608 (6-9pm), or email
addact@shout.org.au.
